Day 13- Warm and Cozy
Two cozy scarves... Warm and fluffy. Knitted with chunky vanilla yarn. The first is a simple 2x2 rib. The second is a pattern from the purl bee... The snowflake scarf. I used what I had on hand, next time I will make the snowflake with the proper yarn and needles. Merry Christmas...

Granny Squares
I have a new project started...
Here is the simple truth I have CAD (crafting attention disorder). I have so many half done projects lying around. It is criminal! I can't help myself, I see something and jump right in. Currently I have 2 blankets in the works, a baby sweater, a kitty doll that only needs 1 leg to be finished. I have a needle point canvas 3/4 of the way done, 2 different sets of half done Christmas ornaments, and the list goes on... Why do I do this? I think I need an intervention... Oh they will all be finished-eventually, just not today!
I blame it on my love for yarn, it is soft, cozy, colorful, soothing, forgiving, and did I mention soft... I prefer knitting, but crocheting comes in a close second. So I meander back and forth between my projects a little here and a little there, hoping nothing else pops into my mind to add to my all ready full basket!
Today I am sure I will pick up, hold, work a few stitches, and stare at the pile of fabric that is sitting in a dinning room chair (I believe I will have to feed it soon).
So here is to a day of fun!

On the needles...
Here we go again. I am attempting to make a baby sweater. I love, love, love knitting. I enjoy baby projects the most. I must have some sort of knitting going on, it brings me peace, and soothes away any stress. At this point in time, I have no little ones due, but who knows, my friends now have married children who may someday have need for a sweet baby sweater. I will need to make it in a different color. I don't think most enjoy the colors I like. This color is honey, it reminds me of fall leaves, pumpkin pie, and all things warm and wonderful about fall.
I find Debbie Bliss to be an excellent place to start. I have enjoyed the many patterns I have made from her books. I finally purchased this one, before the library banned me from using their copy. I am having fun.

Toasty toes!!
I finished up some knitting today. Who can resist soft and cozy yarn? I know I can't!! ( I am also working on a blanket for the baby~the green project)
Hopefully these will keep Benjamin's toes warm this winter.
My daughter is expecting her 2ed child in early November. But the baby seems to think different. He must be like his big sister who was over a month early also. Please pray that the Lord will have his hand covering them, and that all will be well.

Keeping busy
Working on a new baby blanket for Sara's new little one. I am going to be a grandma again! Can you believe it? I love this older pattern it is so cuddly. I am not sure about the color. I love it, pea green, but maybe not what a young mother would like. I don't know... I will keep thinking it over...

On the bias....
I just can't say how much I love the thrift store. They serve me well, and I am rarely disappointed. I really should stop going there, especially when the cute guy said something about the congressional library of Paula Claire. (That would be my over extended book collection.)I will say I blessed the good will with 10 boxes of books this past weekend. Happy shopping to those in my area.
Bias tape galore!

Homing
Today was an eventful day. I finished some projects for Audrey's etsy shop. I will post them in her shop tomorrow. I finished staining the book case. Yeah! Maybe it will find its way inside tomorrow.
Menu:
Baked chicken,
warm pasta salad,
whole wheat rolls,
and a green salad
Tomorrow will be white chili, peperjack cornbread.
I took Audrey to get her new running shoes, she is up to running 2 miles, she is very pleased with herself. I am so excited for her, I will start my running on Monday, if you can call it that. Have a blessed day

How to clean with a smile
For years I have been trying to learn how to embroider. I am afraid I haven't been to successful, but I am determined to learn. Here is the project I worked on today. Not perrrfect, but it's
a start. Thanks to you tube, and some good ol' grit and determination. I will keep on working until another skill is able to undertaken. Who couldn't enjoy drying some dishes with this little cutie working right beside you?

I finished it.
I finally finished a baby blanket last night. It was fun to make, but took much longer than planned. I had to push it back due to time constraints on my end. But it is finally finished and will gently wrap a new addition to a happy family. The cute guy has a co worker that had a precious little one 10 days ago. So I am not to far off schedule.
Here is a photo of my next project, this will be perfect for chilly fall nights. Well winter nights around here, we don't have much fall like weather. Our trees don't even loose their leaves until late November. But I couldn't resist. It keeps me busy, and I am learning how to read patterns. I usually free style my crochet projects. I am using homespun yarn in bourbon, the harvest called for in the pattern was a bit to bright for my eyes.
Have a blessed night.

Beware! May be harmful to eyes
I have been looking for a nice woven hand bag for the summer. You know kinda beachy, summery... I found some that were over my price limit, or not the right shape, color. Then Odd found this one and showed it to me... "Perfect" I was so excited. The she turned it around, revealing the true identity of the creature. Awful. But it was perfect, and less than 10.00. So I went ahead and made the splurge. And now it is just lovely. Twenty minuets of deconstruction, and a new bag was created.
I know beads are all the rage this year, sandles even have them or fake stones... Yuck, not my style. So bye-bye beads....

Odds creations
Ok, so when Odd gets creative she really turns up a storm. For a mama who hates messes, it is a bit hard to swallow. We live in a small apartment with no spare room or rooms. So the dining room table is the crafting area, but we have an open floor plan, so the mess can be seen from all areas (-bathroom). So here she is in all her mess (glory).

Look at me! What can I create today? Hummm
Three hours later.....

One Cookin Kitchen
The cute guy had to work most of the day, so to prevent boredom I spent the day cooking all sorts of things. But hard work deserves a treat, don't you think?
Many Blessings to you all
Yummy Coffee, my favorite Green Mountain (too lazy to insert link tonight). Today was French toast. This coffee must have been created by Willy Wonka... Coffee, french toast, and warm maple syrup (minus the calories) all in one mug. Talk about dreamy.
A girl needs to have something to nibble on, so how about heart smart biscuits. LOL Well, I only had one today. The kids loved them and have almost finished them off.
Along with working on my granny squares, I managed to grab a shot of the 1st doll quilt. It just needs a little more work. (wink, wink)!!

Enjoy your weekend, I am going to. The cute guy has the whole day off tomorrow. :) Yeah for us.
