Day 23, Just a sprinkle of snow...

Print out the beautiful calender

Gently draw on glue where you would like it, I placed mine on the top of the branches.
Generously sprinkle with glitter
Shake of all the extra glitter and step back and admire your beautiful calender.
Today's project was just a fun project. Not a gift, but just to make myself smile. Creature Comforts offers a free calender every month, which I just happen to adore. So I went with her suggestion and enhanced my beautiful calender. If you would like to make your own head on over and print one out and I guarantee you will have a sweet smile on your face just like I do.
BTW- I had to see some snow, we haven't had but a smidgen and nothing in over a month!

True Blue...

I don't think I have ever seen such intense colors in the sky... We have lived in many parts of the country~the south east, north west, west coast, and now on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. But I have never seen colors so vivid. My camera can't even capture the beauty.

The sun set behind my house... In the trees...

behind the leaves...
against the rocks...

I wish you could all be here to enjoy the wonder of the sky... with me everyday.
Blessings~

Slowly getting it together...

Things are slowly falling into place around here... Slowly is an under statement. I think the only room semi done is my bedroom. Here are a few glimpses...

A view of the living room and entrance.
Another view of the living room.
(see the rain deer- the movers broke his antlers, and my couch arm next to him... it sports a huge 12 inch gash courtesy of the moving company.) Boo Hoo!!!

the dinning room...
I have a tone of pictures to find homes for, but for now I am really into the less is more mood. ...and I'm loving it.
Blessings for now.

Hopefully I will be back in full swing here with in the next week or so. We are getting an air conditioner installed over the next three days. (dreamy) Then the cute guy's mom and dad will be here for a few days, they are seeing him one last time before he heads off to lands far far away. Mom do I hear any plans for you???? :) I am going to be lonely!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve! Mine was spent with the family here at home, watching my favorite people on Fox News Channel. I pray that your evening was just a special as ours was. Everyone is recovering from a cold, which hasn't made it way to me, hopefully I will escape this one. Humm..
Do any of you have any New Years Resolutions? I don't, I don't think I ever have. But I do how ever have some things I am going to strive for.... Do you want to know... I knew you did.
My List
1. Start running- I even have a running plan ready for printing out after I am done. My goal is to run a 5k this spring.
2. Watch my eating habits a little closer, they need to be recaptured after the holidays
3.Read, Read, Read- More Grace Livingston Hill, Jan Karon, really anything I have time for.
4.Love my family- I just can't get enough of them.
5.Get cards in the mail on time, or just in the mail period. :)
Not a huge list, but I will let you know how it is going, and I have it here to check back on, to keep tabs on myself.
Happy New Year
with much love
Paula

Task Master

First things first.... This is hammy and she loves bling. She has her own blog, I will have to get her web site. Unfortunately, it will have to wait, currently she is training for her next 5k wheelathon. She is one sweet hamster with exquisite taste. She believes our 90 degree weather still warrants pink, not the warmer hues of fall.
How was your holiday? Mine was spent tidying up some much need areas...

Laundry *check*

Refrigerator purged *check*

Breakfast ingredients prepped *check*

Loving my family *check*

Now I shall retire for the night:
comfy pjs, good book, hot tea..... *check*, *check*, *check*

The Joys of Spring!

I love spring. Yesterday we hit 75 degrees, so our spring is just on the verge of being here for good. This morning we had rain, yea, we need it.

What goes with a lovely spring bouquet?

Lemon water, Audrey's favorite.
Have a wonderful day.
