First seedlings...

Just sprouting, in a few weeks they will find their new home ready to receive them! It is still to early to sew in the ground. I am so jealous looking at all my blog friends and the new life blooming around them. We will be waiting for a while... Until then, I will dote over my seedlings.

Morning Light

One day when we are no longer moving around for the Army, I will have a large cutting garden. Fresh flowers make me smile. They make a room a joy to be in.

Mary, Silver Bells? Really?

I know Mary, Mary is able to grow silver bells in her garden... However after searching nurseries, seed catalogs and various other venues, I was unable to find silver bells. So here is what I had to settle for... Carrots, cukes, pickling cukes, tomatoes, swiss chard, heirloom freckled lettuce, radishes and squash.

I hope Mary is okay with my choices.

I am waiting for these beauties, they are one of my favorites. Not to mention, they bring back wonderful memories of my mother and grandmother from my childhood.

Lemon Cukes or summer cukes.

Heirloom pear tomatoes.

Heirloom tomatoes (purple)

Big fat standards... great on a plate with salt.

Gone to the Birds...

You would think this is the only feeder in the county...

But I love to watch them eat.

The little ones grab a few seeds...
