Wrapping Up the project...

I hope you have enjoyed looking at ways to enjoy the holidays! I hope the recipes, web-sites, and new ways to think about exercise have inspired you. Creating a healthy holiday shouldn't mean deprivation or risk for your health. But rather, it is about options, the healthy and the not so healthy. It is about making conscious choices, without sacrifice. It is about enjoying all aspects of the season, including the food we choose to eat.

I have enjoyed sharing with you all, and will return my blog to its normal (boring) posts this week. Thank you for your help with this project, your comments have been helpful. If you can, would you answer the following questions and post in the comment section. My project is to be presented on Thursday. So I will be wrapping it up tomorrow.
Thanks again, Merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays.
Paula

Questions:

1. Did you find the posts interesting?
2. Would you use any of the sites, recipes, or advice during this holiday season?
3. If this project was done over (like next year) what would you like to see?
4. What was your favorite post?

Blessings to you all, and thank you again

If you are not a follower, feel free to comment. I need at least 10 survey questioners answered. Mom you can type in for the girls in the office if they are willing to comment.

1. Did you find the posts interesting? Yes, I enjoyed and found the posts interesting.

2. Would you use any of the sites, recipes, or advice during this holiday season? Yes, the cookie recipes and the links provided offer me an opportunity to test some meals for my husband who is diabetic.

3. If this project was done over (like next year) what would you like to see? More bloging. Unfortunately for students there is not enough time to spend on blogs and do studies. For those of us who are not diabetics or nutritionists, menu planning would be great.

It is hard to understand what is what and why it does what it does in our body. My desire would be for a short quick guide (cook book) to easy meal planning. Complete meal planning with lots of pictures. I work and am tired when I get home. So, to be ideal, it would cover all the needs for the meal.

4. What was your favorite post? I enjoyed the sweets. My guy loves sweets. However, I have to tell you, I was amazed at the plate sizes. I have a set of my mom’s china from the 50’s, and they are at least 2” smaller! I knew that plates have gotten larger, but then, we used to have a salad plate and bread plate etc for the formal dinners. . . I use my salad plate for my dinner plate, however, during the holidays, it is big plates, for the mashed potatoes and everything else.

1. Did you find the posts interesting? Yes I did, they were all very interesting.

2. Would you use any of the sites, recipes, or advice during this holiday season? Yes, I would use them. The recipes sounded delicious, and there was a lot of information that could benefit my family

3. If this project was done over (like next year) what would you like to see? I personally would like to see perhaps more posts, and a few more recipes. I loved that they had photos along with the link for the actual recipe.
4. What was your favorite post? My favorite post was the graph showing the growth of the plates over the last few decades. I found it quite interesting, and it definitely makes me want to purchase smaller plates to help reduce calorie intake.

1. Did you find the posts interesting?I really enjoyed the posts.
2. Would you use any of the sites, recipes, or advice during this holiday season? Yes, the light and airy chocolate cookies looked delish!
3. If this project was done over (like next year) what would you like to see? Like Gay said, I would love to see menu planning. Sometimes with working 40 hours a week, I just don't have or take the time to plan a real menu for the week. I think I tend to overspend at the grocery because of this.
4. What was your favorite post? My favorite was the shocking pic of the change over time of plate sizes!!! OMG...no wonder we are a nation of fatties!!! ha ha!

1. Yes, the posts were interesting and informative.

2. Yes. Recipes for foods that are delicious and healthy are always welcome.

3. If the project were done over, I'd like to see more questions and answers...maybe a section for sharing recipes, advice and encouragement.

4. My favorite post described how plate sizes have grown over the years, which indicates people are eating more. It's hard to believe the average person has become more active.
